How many bottles of champagne for the toast?
Bottles of champagne or sparkling wine for one toast, for any guest count, in cases and single bottles.
How the math works
Toasts per bottle: a toast is a half pour, about 2.5 to 3 oz, not a full 5 oz glass. A 750 ml bottle gives 8 to 10 toasts. That is the house number from a former country-club banquet captain. We plan 9.
Who to count: everyone who will be handed a glass. Most banquet teams pour for every adult and let non-drinkers raise an empty or sparkling-cider glass. If you're pouring only for those who ask, count fewer.
Buying: sparkling wine comes in cases of 12. We round up to whole bottles, then show cases plus singles. Chill it the day before; a warm bottle foams over and pours fewer toasts.
